Pixel Heart Corner-to-Corner Graphgan Free Crochet Pattern

I had this super cute blanket in mind after first discovering my love for c2c blankets! It's a beautiful and soft stitch with very minimal holes.

The pattern itself is very simple that a beginner could succeed and an advanced crocheter will enjoy it as well.

For this blanket I used Lion Brand Poind of Love in Pastel Green (3), Pastel Pink (1), and Cerise (1).

How to C2C:

C2C stands for corner-to-corner meaning that this stitch is done by starting in one corner of the blanket and increasing stitches with each row until reaching the next corner in which you decrease until the end.

In the case of this blanket, there will be some rows that you are increasing on one side and decreasing on the other in order to form a rectangle instead of a square.

Increasing:

Row 1: ch5, hdc in 4th loop from the hook, 2 hdc in next 2st

Row 2: ch5, hdc in 4th loop from the hook, 2 hdc in next 2st, flip work, slst under ch3 space, ch2, 3 hdc in space

Repeat this process until you reach row 90 in which you will begin to decrease on one side.

Decreasing:

To decrease, rather than chaining 5 and making a new box and joining it with the last one, you simply stop when you slip stitch into the ch2 gap of the last box. Then, turn your work and slip stitch three times across the last stitch until your working yarn is at the top of that box. Chain 2 and continue making boxes until you reach the end of the row and continue increasing until row 120 on the right side. Once you reach row 120 you will begin to decrease on both sides.

Border:

Crochet half double crochet in the round for 3 rounds in Pastel Pink. Then, begin the shell border.

Slst, sk1, 6dc in same stitch, sk1, repeat all the way around

I hope you enjoy this pattern! I'd love to see pictures of your own creations!
